I moving to PNG.

This May, I am moving to Papua New Guinea to serve aboard a mission ship long term.
Even as I write those words, they feel both humbling and deeply exciting. There are moments in life when God gently interrupts your plans with something greater than you could have imagined for yourself, and your only real response is obedience.
Simply put, this is one of those moments.
If you had told me a few years ago that my life would be anchored to a ship serving remote villages across Papua New Guinea, I am not sure I would have believed you. Yet God has a way of leading us step by step, often revealing the next piece of the journey only after we have trusted Him with the first.
Last year, PNG changed me.
I watched villagers step onboard with limited hope and leave with restored sight after eye surgeries. I saw Scripture placed into the hands of people encountering the Word of God in their own heart language, sometimes for the very first time. I witnessed joy, resilience, deep faith, and overwhelming gratitude in communities that many of us will never have the opportunity to visit.
Somewhere in the middle of those moments, through both the extraordinary and the ordinary rhythms of ship life, God made something clear in my heart.
“You’re not done here.”
During my previous season aboard the ship, I served as Second Steward and Hospitality Lead, overseeing the ship’s Hospitality Crew. Much of that role happened behind the scenes in the hidden places where ministry often takes root. It meant long days, attentive leadership, and learning that faithfulness in small things truly matters to God.
I helped welcome villagers onboard, supported outreach efforts, and even had the privilege of helping rebuild a Bible translation studio container that now serves teams working to bring Scripture to unreached language groups. Those months formed me in ways I am still discovering.
Papua New Guinea is no longer just a place I visited. It has become a place I love.
Now the Lord has opened the door for me to return in a new capacity as the ship’s social media and storytelling lead. I will be capturing what God is doing through photography, interviews, and testimonies so that people around the world can witness lives being transformed. Stories have the power to mobilize prayer, awaken generosity, and remind the global Church that God is actively moving.

And the impact is real.
In 2025 alone, the ship completed 13 outreaches, including 7 sailing outreaches, with 141 volunteers serving 66 villages through medical care, dental treatment, Bible engagement, and community development.
A total of 9,996 patients were seen, and 26,138 medical services were performed. This included 904 malaria, TB, and HIV tests; 209 OBGYN consults with ultrasounds; 21 eye surgeries; 3,640 reading glasses distributed; and 887 physiotherapy consults and therapies. Dental teams provided 397 consults with 250 extractions, while 5,627 health promotions equipped communities with practical tools such as teeth brushing, handwashing, and sanitation education.

Beyond medical care, teams interacted with 41,619 individuals, prayed with 7,647 people, and witnessed 113 salvations. Scripture distribution included 537 printed Bibles and 818 Bibles or SD cards. Nineteen water filters were installed, serving 1,536 people. Teams also delivered 1,663 Operation Christmas Child boxes and trained teachers and leaders to run Bible studies for children.

Bible translation efforts engaged 27 of the 33 target languages, supported 13 additional language groups, formed a Book of Luke translation cluster with eight language groups, and recorded seven worship songs in seven heart languages so communities could encounter God personally.
These are not just numbers. They represent fathers, mothers, children, and entire communities experiencing tangible hope.
I cannot fully describe how honored I feel to step back into this ministry and help tell these stories. Getting to use the gifts God has placed in my life to serve His purposes in PNG feels both weighty and incredibly life-giving.
As I prepare for this next season, I am trusting God to build the team that will send me.
I am currently seeking an additional $1,000 per month in recurring support, along with $2,500 in one-time gifts to help cover travel expenses. Missionary work has never been a solo calling. It is always the result of a faithful community choosing to go together, some by stepping onto the field and others by sending.
If you feel led to partner with me through prayer, financial support, or encouragement, I would be honored to have you as part of this journey. Your partnership directly impacts every story I will capture and every life this ship will reach.
Thank you for being part of what God is writing in this next chapter. I truly could not do this without you.
Papua New Guinea already feels like home, and I cannot wait to return.
